Skye Reaches Full Height With Topping Out Milestone

Tomkins team member overseeing the Skye by Pikos top out concrete pour built by tomkins

Skye by Pikos has celebrated its topping out, with the final structural slab of concrete poured on the top, 14th floor. The development has now reached its full height.

Set on River Terrace directly above the heritage-listed Kangaroo Point cliffs, Skye occupies a 2,300 square metre site with 100 metres of uninterrupted river frontage. The development comprises three buildings and 69 residences, made up of 64 three-bedroom residences, four penthouses, and the grand penthouse, Skye One, along with a sky deck and infinity pool. Now at full height, Skye has become a new city landmark, transforming views from the CBD, the river, the City Botanic Gardens and beyond.

“Standing on the top floor and looking out across the Brisbane River to the city skyline, you get a real sense of what this building will offer,” said Tomkins Director, Mike Tomkins. “It is a remarkable outlook. And reaching full height is a proud moment for everyone who has worked on the project.”

To mark the topping out milestone, an olive tree was selected and placed in the courtyard of Skye One penthouse. The tree is a living symbol of resilience, longevity and connection to the environment.
