A second tower crane standing 48 metres tall has been installed at Skye by Pikos, giving full lifting coverage across the three-tower site above the Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

On a compact 2,300m2 site building three towers at once, craneage is everything. The team has now doubled its lifting capacity.

The second tower crane was successfully installed at an impressive height of 48 metres, and with it now operational, every location across the three-tower project can be reached. The increased accessibility means all required lifts can be executed promptly, smoothing and accelerating construction processes across the site and driving productivity into the next phase of the build.

For a project of this nature, that coverage matters more than most. Skye by Pikos occupies a constrained riverfront site on River Terrace at Kangaroo Point, positioned directly above the Clem 7 tunnel, where material handling and sequencing must be planned with precision. Two cranes working in tandem give the team the flexibility to service structure, facade and services trades simultaneously across all three towers.

Built for Pikos Group under a Design and Construct contract, the landmark development will deliver 69 luxury residences across three towers on the top of the cliffs at Kangaroo Point, with 100 metres of uninterrupted Brisbane River frontage and views over the Botanic Gardens, Story Bridge and city skyline.

The crane installation is one of a series of milestones planned across the coming weeks and months as the towers continue their climb, and the team looks forward to marking many more as the project rises above the river.
