Rockpool has reached its topping out milestone above Rainbow Bay, with tools downed last Friday to celebrate alongside Joe Adsett Architects and key project stakeholders.
On Friday, the concrete pumps went quiet, the tools went down and the team gathered to mark the moment Rockpool reached its full height above one of Australia’s most famous surf breaks.
The topping out celebration brought together the construction team, Joe Adsett Architects and key project stakeholders, recognising the collective effort behind the prestigious coastal development at Rainbow Bay. Reaching structural completion on this site is no small feat: the 13-level building rises from a steep, boundary-to-boundary block of just 1,193m2 directly above the beach, with the tower crane handling every lift since construction commenced in January 2022.
Designed by Joe Adsett Architects and delivered under a Design and Construct, Rockpool will comprise 21 exclusive residences: 18 half-floor sky homes and three full-floor penthouses, each facing east over Rainbow Bay and Snapper Rocks.
The interiors will match the address. Residences are being fitted with Gaggenau appliances, marble finishes and rich hardwood floors, with the architect’s vision carried through every level as the project moves from structure into fitout.
The milestone reflects genuine collaboration between the client, the architect, the dedicated subcontractors and the construction team, with quality building at every stage bringing luxury coastal living to life.
With the structure complete, attention turns to the facade, internal finishes and the resident amenity levels that will carry Rockpool through to completion in 2025. For now, though, the view from the top deck, straight down the point at Snapper Rocks, was reason enough to pause and celebrate.
