Rockpool Achieves Practical Completion at Rainbow Bay

Open-plan living space with panoramic ocean views and custom fireplace within a Rockpool residence.

Tomkins has achieved practical completion of Rockpool, a luxury residential development at Rainbow Bay on the southern Gold Coast. With the final touches complete, owners are now settling into their new homes in one of Australia’s most exclusive beachfront locations.

Positioned above the Snapper Rocks surf break at 154 Marine Parade, Coolangatta, the 13-level building comprises just 21 residences: 18 half-floor sky homes and three full-floor penthouses. Designed by Joe Adsett Architects, every residence faces east over Rainbow Bay and Snapper Rocks, with upper levels also capturing views west across the Tweed River.

The development pairs sweeping ocean views with refined interiors, including natural stone benchtops, wide-plank European oak floors and premium appliances throughout. Resident amenities include a private heated lap pool, sauna, gymnasium, residents’ lounge, beach lockers, surf storage and direct beach access.

“Rockpool is one of the most refined residential projects we have delivered. Building on a tight beachfront site above Snapper Rocks demanded careful planning from our team and the finished result reflects that effort. We are proud to hand over homes of this quality and to see owners already enjoying them,” said Tomkins Director, Mike Tomkins.

Delivered by Tomkins under a Design and Construct contract, Rockpool reached completion in stages through 2025. The project stands as a landmark achievement for the Tomkins team and a distinctive addition to the Rainbow Bay beachfront.
