PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Tomkins delivered the Mater Brookwater Health Centre fitout for Mater Health Services as part of their broader expansion program. The project involved a full tenancy fitout within a base building shell, establishing a purpose-built outpatient health centre in the Brookwater community. The scope included consulting suites, treatment rooms, examination rooms, a waiting area and reception facilities, all designed and built to the high clinical and presentation standards expected of the Mater brand. Delivered under a Design and Construct contract, the project provided Mater with the specialised clinical environment they needed to serve the growing Brookwater community.

The Mater Brookwater Health Centre fitout was carried out within an active base building environment, with Tomkins coordinating its works directly alongside the separate and peripheral building scope completion. This required strict programme management to maintain continuity and meet the project’s demanding timeframe.

The fitout scope encompassed a full range of clinical and support spaces, including consulting suites, treatment and examination rooms, a welcoming reception and waiting area and associated staff and support facilities. Internal finishes were delivered to a high standard throughout, with feature joinery, stone benchtops, timber veneer wall panelling and a signature geometric feature wall at the reception zone reflecting the Mater brand’s commitment to quality and patient experience.

During the project, scope was extended to include an upgrade of the base building power and data trunk supply to the tenancy areas, coordinated to meet the Mater Technical Services brief. Tomkins managed this additional scope without impact to the programme, completing the project on time and to client satisfaction.

The completed Mater Brookwater Health Centre gives the local community access to a high-quality outpatient health facility, purpose-designed for the Mater Health Services model of care. Delivered on time within a complex, concurrent construction environment, the fitout demonstrates Tomkins' ability to manage technically demanding healthcare projects to exacting clinical and presentation standards.
