Tomkins delivered a major expansion and refurbishment of the Kawana Surf Lifesaving Club, enhancing its facilities for members and the wider community. The works included new dining and social spaces, a first-floor deck and upgraded amenities. This project reflects our long-standing relationship with the Club and commitment to community-focused construction.
The redevelopment involved extending both the ground and first floors by 130 m², creating new areas for dining, functions and member activities. A first-floor Members’ Deck was added, designed to capture coastal views and expand the Club’s hospitality offering. The project also included upgraded kitchens, amenities and service areas to support higher patronage and improve operational efficiency.
Delivered adjacent to the live club environment, the works required careful planning and staging to minimise disruption to members, staff and visitors. By integrating the new structures seamlessly with the existing building, Tomkins ensured the project respected the Club’s heritage while providing modern facilities that strengthen its role within the community.
The project delivered expanded function and dining spaces at ground level, alongside a new Members’ Deck on the first floor. Internal amenities and service areas were upgraded, creating a more functional and welcoming environment for staff, members and visitors. All works were carefully staged to allow the Club to remain operational throughout construction.
