PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Tomkins delivered the redevelopment of the former Masters store in Mackay into a Home Consortium bulky goods retail centre, marking the sixth Home Consortium project delivered by Tomkins across Queensland. The project transformed the existing 12,957sqm building to accommodate six new retail tenancies.

Tomkins’ involvement extended well beyond construction, having worked with Home Consortium throughout the preceding year to provide cost planning, value management and design advice in preparation for delivery.

The Mackay redevelopment forms part of Home Consortium’s broader programme to repurpose former Masters stores into large-format retail destinations across Queensland.

Tomkins worked collaboratively with Home Consortium from the early planning stages, providing cost planning, value management and design advice to support the redevelopment of the existing 12,957sqm facility. This early involvement allowed the team to bring its growing experience across the Home Consortium portfolio into the planning and subsequent construction of the Mackay centre.

Upon completion, the redeveloped centre provided six new retail tenancies within the existing building, extending Tomkins’ portfolio of large-format retail and adaptive reuse projects across Queensland.
