PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Tomkins is delivering the AIPN06 and AIPN07 industrial facilities for Brisbane Airport Corporation under a Design and Construct contract. The two new warehouses form part of BAC’s proactive industrial development program, adding high-quality warehouse and office accommodation to the airport’s growing industrial precinct. Currently under construction, the project is the latest in a long-standing relationship between Tomkins and BAC that spans nearly 20 years and 21completed projects across the airport estate.

AIPN06 and AIPN07 are two side-by-side industrial facilities being developed by Brisbane Airport Corporation as part of its proactive approach to meeting demand for quality warehouse space within the airport precinct. Each building pairs large-span warehouse accommodation with corporate office frontage, recessed loading docks under cantilevered awnings and on-grade car parking, arranged around a shared central loading yard.

Building within an operating airport estate calls for a contractor that understands the precinct. Tomkins brings direct experience of the airport’s ground conditions, approvals environment and operational requirements, gained across numerous industrial projects delivered on Brisbane Airport land. Design, procurement and construction are being closely coordinated so that both facilities progress efficiently and with certainty of programme.

Sustainability is embedded in the delivery. Material selections include low-carbon concrete and recycled aggregates, construction waste is segregated and recycled and the structural design targets a 20 per cent reduction in upfront embodied carbon, in line with the project’s 5 Star Green Star ambitions. The completed buildings are designed for durability, low maintenance and long-term operational efficiency as part of BAC’s investment portfolio.

Once complete, AIPN06 and AIPN07 will add two flexible, high-quality industrial facilities to Brisbane Airport’s logistics precinct, ready to support the next generation of tenants in one of Queensland’s most connected freight locations. For Brisbane Airport Corporation, the project continues the planned growth of its industrial estate with a delivery partner it has worked with for nearly 20 years.
