West Moreton Anglican College
Karrabin, Ipswich
fast-tracked
2017
A fast-tracked lump sum project for the West Moreton Anglican College including a combination of new administration facilities and extensions to existing facilities all delivered within a live school environment. The project was successfully delivered safely around children, parents, and staff plus achieving the time and budget expectations of our client.
To meet the demands of the forecast growth for the Junior School at the College, Tomkins’ scope of work included the demolition, extension, and refurbishment of the existing reception building office spaces plus a kitchen, first aid room, a student waiting room, and two adjoining classrooms. The building’s architecture responded to its prominent location on the campus to provide an appropriate statement whilst adding a touch of brightness to the Junior School. Key to the success of the project was the dedicated focus to safety and communication by our site team who work in close proximity to ongoing school activities in a busy location.
The Tomkins team and College representatives work together at all stages to discuss site activities and logistics about the college grounds. This collaborative approach identified project risks and agreed actions to mitigate disruption to the school and deliver works in the safest manner. Tomkins is proud to have worked with West Moreton Anglican College to deliver this project on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
