Kawana Surf Life Saving Club
Kawana, QLD
-
2014
Our involvement in this exciting new project stands as a testament to the strength of our decade long support of and sponsorship to the Club with the supply of essential equipment and material. It is also a positive result in the Club”s management toward creating a commercial opportunity for their immediate needs and toward future expansion as part of the overall Master Plan.
The scope of the project essentially encompasses the construction of an additional 130m2 to both ground and first-floor level along with the refurbishment of adjacent existing areas to dovetail into the new design. These new spaces create a ground floor Function & Dining area and a Member”s Deck area to level 1. With all-new works occurring alongside and up to the existing structure the project team had to work hard to maintain the integrity of the building throughout the whole project life cycle.Using contemporary Architecture and selection of finishes the final product serves both the locale and its patrons with a new level of excellence and enjoyment of the Club.
“This letter serves to advise that in 2014 the Club was fortunate enough to engage Tomkins Commercial and Industrial Builders PTY LTD to undertake a major upgrade project to our Club. During the entire process, Tomkins worked tirelessly to keep this volunteered Club informed and when issues arose they found appropriate solutions that worked for both parties. Tomkins made the whole building process very easy. There was open and collaborative communication between the Club and the project and site teams including executive Management. We are very happy with the quality of the finished product and the timeliness in which the project was delivered. We would have no hesitation in recommending Tomkins for any upcoming projects, they really are a trusted local builder. Since the completion of the building, we have experienced a significant increase in our business -especially functions and general turnover. Without Tomkins assistance this could not have been achieved.”- Bob Clements, President, Kawana Surf Club
