An interesting and challenging project requiring staged execution and considerable high-level coordination. The Client undertook this expansion project around an operational suburban shopping centre which requires strict control and a Zero Harm approach to ensure the safety of customers and retailers alike. In addition to this, the site is located right on a busy arterial roadway carrying large volumes of traffic and Public Transport route.
The contract scope included the construction of 3 new Tenancy spaces adjacent to the existing shopping centre to allow for the relocation of 1 tenant to then allow for a Refurb within the vacated space and associated building improvements. A new vehicular cross over, landscaping, signage, footpaths and bus stop relocation complete the site works. With work commencing on this project in April 2014 and a Contract completion milestone set for the end of October 2014, the team is confident of delivery for the Client.
