Tomkins managed the design and construction of a specialised office and warehouse space for Toowong Milton Body Repairs family business. The 4,100m2 project included an additional separate tenancy containing a 2000m2 warehouse and 200m2 office for future leasing and business expansion opportunities.

Tomkins established a strong relationship with the client to fully understand their specific business needs, which included 40 separate car repair working bays, and heavily focused on allowing high-end user functionality and incorporating specialist electrical and mechanical services to support the latest in car repair technology. This ranged from ‘state of the art” spray booth facilities to highly energy-efficient 1000 lux level lighting throughout the facility. Every aspect of the design and delivery of the project was carefully managed by Tomkins including the clients request to have the external of the building standout within the industrial areas of Eagle Farm that was achieved with the curved external façade featuring full height glazing with custom made metal louvers and aluminium composite cladding. Meeting critical opening deadlines, the Tomkins team worked closely with the subcontractors on the job and mitigated any risks to the handover date and ensured the newly relocated and renamed Drive Accident Solutions business was operational with no disruption to their business.
