With a long and Culturally Significant Heritage history associated with this site, we again used our expertise with Heritage Restoration to assist the Client with design resolutions with the majority of our contract scope associated with the repair of structural defects to the Museum Building and scouring to the Watercourse Gully structure underneath.
This Museum Building sits upon an old ‘Bridge’ structure dating back to circa 1900 with a previous life as a Flower House there had been a significant settlement and integrity failure had occurred without repair. Our scope required for a full and detailed investigation of what existed to understand how best to make repairs. With a complete reconstruction of a sub-floor support system and stormwater swale structure we have ensured the extension of life for this valuable piece of Brisbane history.
