Scaffold removal and the safe dismantling of the tower crane have marked a defining fortnight at Harbour One, the waterfront residential development under construction at Sanctuary Cove.
January has delivered two significant milestones at Harbour One, the luxury waterfront residential development under construction at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast.
The scaffold came down mid-month, revealing the completed facades of the marina-front apartment buildings for the first time. Two weeks later, the tower crane was safely dismantled in a carefully staged operation, bringing the project another step closer to completion.
Developed by Mulpha Sanctuary Cove Harbour One and designed by Bureau Proberts, Harbour One comprises three low-rise residential buildings over a single-level basement car park, with a total built area of approximately 11,000m2. Two four-storey apartment buildings front the marina, while eight two-storey townhouses sit to the rear, all connected by an open landscaped podium.
With the crane and scaffold gone, the team and trades are back in full swing progressing internal fitout and finishing. Drone footage captured this month shows how far the build has come, with the buildings now reading clearly against the marina backdrop.
The project has also absorbed a significant mid-construction design change, with four standard apartments across the upper levels amalgamated into two luxury penthouse residences. Close collaboration with Bureau Proberts and the consultant team allowed the revised residences to be integrated without material impact to the overall programme.
Delivery within the active Sanctuary Cove precinct has required detailed logistics and traffic management throughout, maintaining safe access for surrounding residents, businesses and marina operations.
Handover is anticipated later in 2025, when Harbour One will introduce a premium marina-front residential offering that combines apartment living with townhouse privacy in one of Queensland’s most established integrated resort communities.
