Gateway @ Murarrie has achieved WELL Core Platinum certification, the highest level available under the WELL standard, becoming the first Australian industrial project to reach the rating.
The certification was issued in June 2026 by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), which administers the WELL standard. WELL recognises buildings that are designed and operated to support the health, comfort and wellbeing of the people who occupy them, assessing performance against evidence-based criteria rather than design intent alone.
Gateway was certified under the WELL Core pathway, which applies to base buildings and shared areas. The pathway addresses key features across air, water, light, comfort, sound, materials, movement and community, covering the elements of a building that shape the daily experience of every tenant and visitor.
Platinum is the highest of the certification levels awarded under the standard, and no Australian industrial project had reached it before Gateway. The result places the project in new territory for the sector, demonstrating that industrial buildings can meet the same occupant health and wellbeing benchmarks more commonly pursued in commercial office developments.
The certification positions Gateway as a high-performing, people-focused workplace environment and gives current and future occupants independent verification of the quality of the spaces they use every day.
