In recent years, our team has grown significantly, expanding from 35 to over 120 full-time employees, all while upholding the family values that have driven our success. Our company size strikes the ideal balance for our employees, offering the chance to work on large, award-winning projects within a business that’s agile, responsive and supportive.
A core part of Tomkins’ vision is to create meaningful opportunities for our people to grow in all aspects – personally, professionally and financially. We achieve this by actively investing in our staff, promoting skills development, providing leadership and mentoring and fostering career growth within the company. At the same time, we’re dedicated to building a culture based on teamwork, open communication and excellence.
Tomkins is also committed to supporting our team’s well-being in various ways, including access to a confidential, independent employee wellness provider that’s available at no cost to all employees and their immediate families.
One of the things we hear most often from our people is the sense of genuine contribution they feel toward the team and the success of our projects. Great people are at the heart of our business – they are, and always will be, the key to our ongoing success!
At Tomkins, our success is built on the strength of our dedicated team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results and are continually seeking passionate and talented individuals to contribute to our ongoing success. Our team is the heart of our operation and we believe in nurturing a collaborative work environment where everyone can thrive.

Tomkins is proud of our cadetship program which has seen numerous students become fully qualified members of the Tomkins team. In fact, 80% of our project managers are previous Tomkins cadets who have come up through the ranks! The Tomkins cadetship program began in 1990 and is industry leading in its approach to training, mentoring, industry networking, events and experience.
Tomkins cadets typically have the opportunity to work across four work streams – estimating, projects, design and safety.
Students who are enrolled in a Construction or Design related Bachelors Degree can look to join the Tomkins Team and work as cadets on our award-winning projects – thereby learning invaluable practical skills to complement their formal education and give them a head start in a career in construction.
We’re always on the lookout for high quality cadet candidates. If you are interested, email careers@tomkinscommercial.com.au and tell us why you think you’d be a great fit at Tomkins!
