Staff across Tomkins sites and head office came together on 21 May for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising $739.00 for the Cancer Council with support from subcontractors on the Direct Freight Express project.
Cancer touches almost everyone in some shape or form. Whether through a family member, friend, colleague or personal experience, many people understand the impact the disease can have. The morning tea gave teams across the business a chance to pause, come together and show their support for a cause that matters.
Gatherings were held at head office and across project sites, with staff sharing morning tea and contributing to the fundraising total of $739.00. A special mention goes to the subcontractors on the Direct Freight Express project for their support of the event.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is the Cancer Council’s largest fundraising event, held in workplaces, schools and communities across the country each year. Funds raised go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services.
