The new Music Industry College expansion in Fortitude Valley will provide for an exciting expansion to the function and capacity of the educational experience at the College and make provision for the increase in number of students able to attend.

The Music Industry College (MIC) project was a partial demolition and redevelopment of an existing music studio creating exciting new learning spaces and offices for a small not-for profit
school.

Sections of the existing building were refurbished and highlighted as features amongst the new sections.

The new building provides flexible learning spaces and staff offices which can double as performance spaces for MIC’s many fundraising events.

The existing building had a long and influential history in the music and arts communities, with the new MIC building ensuring a continuation of this proud heritage and tradition long into the future.

Tomkins was proud to offer a donation that will provide an opportunity to a number of highly talented students to take full advantage of the new facility and all that it offers.

“Our office has worked with Tomkins Builders a number of years on a variety of projects and in a variety of capacities.

Tomkins Builders have consistency, from our experience, offered an exemplary service from tendering, design and construct procurement through to traditional architect administered
contracts.

Tomkins Builders have provided for our clients very thorough and transparent tender submissions that are consistently competitive. They follow this up with a very constructive approach to tender negotiations in regards to solutions to cost and design considerations.

We particularly admire their collaborative approach to high quality design outcomes within tight budget constraints throughout design and construct design development stages.

During the construction process they have been very efficient, on time, and on budget with few variations presented. The high quality of their constructed buildings illustrates a commitment to quality throughout the building process, from their selection of sub contractors to the administration of the construction process.

We have found them to be honest and straight forward throughout our dealings with them and would never hesitate to included them on a tender or introduce them to our clients.”
