The Australian Catholic University Student Led Clinic is an extension to the existing award-winning Health Clinic built by Tomkins in 2012.

The two health clinics are identified in the master plan for the University as part and an exciting opportunity to symbolise the next phase of growth.

Tomkins were also engaged to assist during the design phase to ensure the project was practical and the desired 30-week construction phase could be achieved.

The Student Led Clinic adds a two level clinic including Psychology consultation and observation rooms, a purpose-built Exercise Science room and general tutorial rooms.

A high level of acoustic detail was required due to the AV and privacy requirements of the building’s end users.

The purpose built exercise science room includes a flexible use sports floor which allows for interactive learning with the lecture room.

The finishes specified within the SLC (Pre-finished CFC, highly specified level of acoustics and one way mirrors) required workmanship quality to be of the highest standard. Constant QA was undertaken throughout construction to ensure that quality was maintained within the client’s stringent expectations.
