The Tomkins team had a great time at Strike Bowling Bar on Friday night as part of the staff social club. The team enjoyed a friendly game of bowling, pizza and a few drinks with colleagues.

Tomkins regularly puts on staff events like this as a way of saying thanks to our hard-working employees, and as a chance to catch up with staff from all over the business and across all of our sites.

We are excited to have started construction on the new Kedron Child Care Centre development, on the site of the old Kedron JB HiFi, which will address Brisbane’s child care centre shortage by providing a huge 219 place child care centre with exciting details.

Construction will include the demolition of some existing buildings, refurbishment of an existing corner shop, relocation & zoning of a residential house, substantial landscaping and refurbishment of an existing commercial structure to form a new multi-level child care centre.

Landscaping for this development boasts incorporation of climbing structures, mud kitchens, play equipment, shade sails, timber bridges, sandpits, creeks, toy storage units, artificial grass, digging patches, dry creek beds, timber decks, cubbies etc all enclosed by acoustic fencing.

The entry structure has intrinsic detail inclusive of timber cladding, glazing and sculpted sheet metal to create the finished product.

Structure works will involve raising of a portion of the existing roof, and the addition of a completely suspended first level within the existing JB Hi Fi Building.

Other features of this exciting development will include trellis work, child’s slide from Level 1 to ground, completely air conditioned, acoustically glazed, automated clerestory windows to the raised roof, circular feature windows, suspended plants and complete CCTV install.
