Tomkins Qscan College Junction Project has completed the installation of a custom engineered 65m length of gantry on the Sandgate Rd and Wagner Rd frontages to support a 100 year old brick façade from the old shops on this prominent corner. The façade is retained as a design feature as part of the commercial / health development.

All the works were completed at night generally between 11pm and 5am due to the strict time-frames on one of Brisbane’s busiest roads.

Tomkins recently achieved a significant milestone at Australian Catholic University’s new ‘Oval and Campus Activation’ project with the erection of 6 new oval light towers.

The oval light fittings were sourced from Italy, and mounted on 26 metre high poles. The lights represent a significant increase in amenity for the oval which is also being upgraded with all-new premium sports turf.

The project also includes a striking new grandstand roof structure covering feature brick and coloured concrete terracing.

The first major event planned for the new ACU oval is the Indigenous Uni Games, to be held at ACU on 26 June.

Congratulations to our Chermside team for achieving 100% recycling of construction waste.

The Chermside Community Hub project is targeting a 4 Star Green rating.

Green Star is a sustainability rating system for buildings. The rating system assesses the sustainability of projects at all stages of the built environment life-cycle. A key element in achieving the 4 Star rating is the reduction of sending construction waste to landfill.

We are elated to advise that the Tomkins team are consistently achieving a 100% rate of recycling construction waste.
